Frequently Asked Questions

What is the KidsAbility Superhero Challenge?
The Superhero Challenge is a fun, friendly and inclusive challenge where families, schools, groups and companies select an activity of their choosing to raise funds to support children and youth served by KidsAbility.

What day is the Superhero Challenge?

The Superhero Challenge will happen from June 6-12, 2022.

What is the goal of the Superhero Challenge?

The goal of the Superhero Challenge is to rally our communities to raise funds and awareness about KidsAbility. In 2021 this regional event raised over $170,000 to help children and youth with special needs achieve their goals. We aim to promote an inclusive Regional effort across core communities of Guelph, Kitchener, Cambridge, Waterloo and Fergus, building community spirit, and boosting engagement in schools, companies, community leaders through the Superhero Challenge.

What happens with the money raised from the Superhero Challenge?

Donations support life-changing therapy, innovative programs and the latest technology to help children and youth with their families achieve great things at home, at school and in the community. The needs in our community continue to grow and demand for services exceeds our resources. Many children and youth must wait for the services they need. Funds raised help a child benefit sooner to say their first words, take their first step, hold a pencil or spoon or even learn how to make a  new friend and participate fully in our community.

Does it cost anything to participate?

It is free to register and participate! A donation to KidsAbility during the Superhero Challenge is encouraged by participants to give what they can and to ask friends and family to support their efforts.
