Frequently Asked Questions

What is the KidsAbility Superhero Challenge?

Every hero has a superpower. And everyone has the power to be a hero. Embrace your inner superhero for kids! The Superhero Challenge is a fun and accessible week-long challenge when our community comes together to raise awareness and funds to support children and youth living with disabilities by unleashing their superpowers in two ways: Run, Walk, Wheel, or choose their own challenge activity.

When will it take place?

The Superhero Challenge will take place the first week of June beginning Monday, June 6 until Sunday June 12, 2022. But fundraisers can put their superpowers into action earlier to complete their challenge!

What is the goal?

We aim to promote an inclusive regional effort across core communities of Cambridge, Guelph, Kitchener, Waterloo and Fergus to build inclusive community spirit, awareness and engagement. With your generous support, we hope to reach our fundraising goal of $100,000 to help more kids living with disabilities in our community to thrive.

How will funds raised help kids served by KidsAbility?

With each donation made to a fundraising page, you join forces with others and directly support nearly 9,000 kids and youth throughout Waterloo Region and Guelph-Wellington who come to KidsAbility to receive life-changing therapy, programs and support. No matter the amount, a donation you make today makes a ‘superhero’ difference in supporting the most immediate needs of children, youth and families at KidsAbility.

Can I participate?

Absolutely! Unleash your superpowers to be a superhero for kids! Get ready to soar! Visit our Participation page and learn how you can Run, Walk, Wheel or get ideas to choose your own challenge activity. You can learn fundraising tips for your challenge fundraising page!

New this year, for every $200 raised, fundraisers will be entered into a draw to win prizes!

How do I fundraise?
